Simple Money Saving Tips Everyone Can Use

Back in the day when I was younger, I used to spend money like it was water. I know that I'm not the only one who've done this, and I think that happens because at those times our responsibilities haven't caught up with the amount we get paid. Many a times the older, wiser folks tried to give me some advice on how to save money, it all went to deaf ears for, at that time, I did not care. Now, had I listened to some of those advice. Things might have come together for me a lot sooner.

It really does not matter how long you've fooled around, it is never too late or too early to use some money saving tips to make things a bit smoother in life. No matter how much money you have there should always be a way to save, and truthfully, always a need to do so. Some of the best money saving tips that I have gotten throughout the years were in regard to my paycheck..
After the initial bill payments every week, and the things you need to buy, it may seem as if there's not much left to save. How much you make is not really the issue, you should be putting aside at least a few dollars per week. In case you happen to have direct deposit, prior to accessing your money, you should put aside a few dollars in your savings account. This way you really don't miss the money.

Some other useful money saving tips might involve saving on your bills, saving on groceries with coupons, saving on your heating bill by winterizing your home, and saving on your water bill by using less. There are hundreds if not thousands of little things you can do right now to start saving money.
The trick is to put more and more of them to use everyday until it becomes a habit. For many, retirement might seem like light years away, but it has the tendency to sneak up on you before you know it. It would be wise to put these and other money saving tips into practice in order to be better off for tomorrow.

4 Ways For Students to Save Money

Students - Learn How to Save Money

Everybody in this world loves money and you probably want as much of it as possible. The thing that most college students struggle with is how to save money correctly. There are so many easy ways to save money in this world that some students just completely overlook it. The purpose of this article is to show you how you can start saving your money today even if you don't make a lot of it.

Keep yourself busy the cheap way

The more involved you're with school activities and work, you'll find that you don't have time to spend your money. Even if this sounds boring, make sure that you find hobbies that don't cost a lot. A lot of the times you'll find that most school clubs and activities don't cost anything at all! If you're currently the type that likes to party, eat out, and do everything else under the sun everyday, you're going to have to change your habits before you start saving up all of the cash.

Hobbies equal cash

Sit down for a second and think of the things you love. I guarantee that you can turn any hobby you like into a money making project. If you love to bowl and you're good at it, you could possibly offer bowling lessons to fellow students or others for a fee. In order to save money, you're going to want to make money and if you're making money doing the things you love, it's going to be a win-win situation.

Check out your wallet

Open up your wallet or purse and check it out closely. The cards you're carrying such as an AAA card or a student ID card, you'll find that a lot of places offer discounts with these type of cards. For example, a local movie theater in your neighborhood may offer a student discount on tickets. Even if this discount is two dollars, you're still saving money!

Compare before you shop

Instead of going out and buying that new xbox game, make sure that you've looked at a bunch of other stores before you go out and shop. The Internet is a great tool to check out other stores prices. You'll usually be able to get prices, if it's stock, and you can even buy it and pick it up in the store if you'd like. Not only will you save on gas from going store to store, you're going to save yourself some time and energy.

Saving money isn't that hard. It's going to require some dedication and motivation. If you just set a little aside each month, it will add up quicker than you think. Be sure that you look into money market accounts and CDs. This will give you a bigger return on your money. Remember, it's yourself that chooses your own saving fate.

How to Save Money on Groceries

The grocery store is one place that can make or break a budget. Some families spend a fortune, while others barely spend any at all. If you're looking to save money, then the grocery store is one of your best bets.

Take a look at some of these ways that you can save at the grocery store:

.Join the club. Most stores offer significant savings to those who are members. If your grocery store offers a membership, then it's a good idea to sign up.

.Use store coupons. Coupons offer savings, but sometimes there are better deals out there, or you end up buying something you don't really need "just because you have a coupon". However, store coupons are almost always a great deal.

.Plan some vegetarian meals. Meat is expensive and by eating a few vegetarian meals each week, you can eliminate some of that cost.

.Don't take the kids. If you go with your kids, you are very likely to end up with a few extras in your cart. Shopping alone ensures that you will only buy the things you need.
Make a list. Don't wander the store aimlessly. Make a shopping list and stick to it once you get there.

.Shop late at night. During the later hours, you can do your shopping much more quickly. This will help you to avoid seeing something that's not on your list and grabbing it just because it looks good.

.Don't buy junk food. The cost of snacks quickly adds up. Instead, stick to wholesome foods that provide good nutrition.

.Hit the dollar store first. You'd be surprised how many things on your list you may be able to pick up at the local dollar store. Because the dollar store's inventory changes frequently, you may want to stop there before the grocery store and see what you can get there first.

When you go into the grocery store with a good plan, and avoid temptations, you can really save a lot of money at the store.

Would you like to build a better nest egg? Are you sick of living paycheck to paycheck?

Create a Personal Budget with These Simple Steps

There's no question, a budget is the best way to gain control over your finances and live a life free of financial stress. Here are the simple steps to achieve this:
Step 1: Collect your financial information together. This will include every credit card statement, bank statement and your receipts. Anything that documents your expenses for the last three months needs to be collected. What are you going to do with this information? You're going to use it to categorize your expenses. What do you spend on your home? What do you spend on your car? Your food? Your health? Entertainment? You're not tracking your expenses right now, you're simply coming up with expense categories and sub-categories for your budget. If it makes it easier, begin by drafting the categories and sub-categories you think your expenses will fall into. As you go through your expenses you can verify your category decisions.
Step 2: Gather your income statements or profit and loss sheets and determine how much money you really have to budget with. You can use either your net or gross income as your number, just be consistent. Also, if you choose to use your gross income, make sure to account for your taxes on your list of expenses.
Step 3: Using the same documents you used to create your budget expense categories and sub-categories, now examine how much you spend each month on each. I highly recommend that you write this number down. It may be an eye-opening exercise, but it will also help you predict how much you will spend in the future. You want your budget to be a realistic reflection of your spending habits, not a financial diet.
Step 4: Find a method of recording your budget. This could be a simple spreadsheet where your columns are a list of your categories, your weekly or monthly available spending amount, how much you actually spend and the difference between the two numbers. Your rows will be the income and expense categories you've already established.
Step 5: Create a budget, keeping in mind that you will want a budget category devoted to savings goals too. Once your budget is created, spend a month or two following it. Keep your budget close at hand so you can track your finances closely. Assess your spending on a weekly or monthly basis. Re-evaluate your budget if you need to. Your budget is not set in stone and some of your expenses are variable, meaning you control how much you spend on them. For example, entertainment is variable and your mortgage is fixed.
A budget is nothing more than a spending plan. It isn't a financial diet. It is a tool to control your money and be knowledgeable and smart about where it goes. It's your money after all, and isn't it great to have the upper hand?

How To Save Money With Your Business Long Distance

Making the right long distance decision for your business can save you plenty of money. There are lots of long distance providers so how do you find the deal that's best for you? Here are some tips for saving money with your business long distance.
ServicesWith costs for T1 service going down it has become a viable solution for even small and medium sized businesses. A T1 is a high-speed digital circuit that transmits at a speed of 1.544Mbps. This speed is faster than many modems. This digital line uses fiber to connect allowing for 24 channels.
These channels are flexible allowing for everyone to access any available channel. This technology gives you the most use for your money. T1 channels free up for use as soon as calls are complete. A T1 for a typical business may be able to accommodate 50 to 100 users. Fractional T1s are available to provide both voice and data over the same T1 circuit.
This makes a T1 cost effective even for small businesses.Voice T1 long distance gives you the best long distance services at the lowest prices available. You can still get as many or as few frills as you need but with lower price tags. Plans can be custom tailored to meet your specific needs. Qualified long distance companies then provide the services.
PricingWhen evaluating long distance pricing it is helpful to understand and compare similar services. This can be difficult when looking at packaged plans. In order to do a proper price comparison breakdown the costs into several common categories. These should include one-time charges such as installation fees and equipment costs as well as recurring costs such as monthly fees, line charges and service contracts.
Whenever possible try to make accurate cost comparisons among the companies you are considering. What looks at first to be the best deal may be filled with hidden costs that you need to determine before making a final decision.Once you are comfortable that you are making price comparisons based on similar options you can concentrate on prioritizing your needs. Be sure to consider things such as service response commitments if an outage occurs. This alone may be a determining factor in choosing a wholesale long distance service.
Be sure that the service hours coincide with your hours of business. If not you should consider adding an additional more comprehensive service plan to your package. This will ensure that an outage will be dealt with immediately so your business will not be impacted.Future GrowthAlways take into account the future growth of your business when choosing a business long distance service.
The costs of adding additional services at a later time may be much greater incrementally than just adding the services now. Always allow for at least 10% growth per year. If your business warrants it you may need to grow even more quickly.Besides the future growth of your company you should also be prepared for new technology that you may want to take advantage of.
Choosing a plan that allows for growth will ensure that you can use new technology as it becomes available. This can end up saving you money in the long run as you are poised to take advantage of new advances, putting your business on the cutting edge.

Budgeting: Tips on How to Save Money on Transportation

Prices go higher every year, especially the cost of gas. Transportation is one big factor that makes the household budget difficult to cover all your expenses. Here are some guidelines to help you save money from transportation:
1. To save money, you must always check on your vehicle regularly. A well-maintained vehicle can get you out of trouble on repair expenses. You can actually spend only $50 on maintaining your vehicle and save up to $800 on repair costs in a year. You can even save more if you do the maintenance yourself and not bring your car into an auto shop.
2. If you want to save more money, it is recommended not to buy a new car. The value of a car depreciates automatically when you drive it out off the showroom of the car dealer shop. You may buy a car that is used at least one year. It will save you thousands of dollars to the actual worth of the car when it was new. The owner will then pay all the depreciated value of the car.
3. Save money on buying used cars by comparing the prices of the car dealer and the actual price on the list of the used car dealer ads. To ensure the car that you buy is well conditioned, you may ask for the help of a mechanic to check if the car is good enough for its price. It is better to buy a used car from a person you know and trust. This will help you make sure that you have a good deal in acquiring a car.
4. Try to compare gasoline rates. You may refuel your car with the gasoline station that offers the lowest price on gasoline. You can even save more by pumping gas yourself and use the lowest octane in your car’s manual. It is also recommended that you pay cash than credit cards that charge extra rates. Do not forget to check the gas cap if it is tightened to ensure no gas is spilled out.
5. Always keep your engine tuned-up and have your tires inflated to their desired pressure to save you more money. A well-maintained engine consumes less gas. Keep your car’s trunk clean to save more fuel. Heavy loads in your vehicle can consume more fuel because of the excess weight it carries.6. Try to limit the use of your car on your daily route. You may take the bus or the subway to save gasoline. You can also save time by ignoring the traffic that you encounter everyday on the streets.

Money Rules for Couples!

If you're thinking about getting married or have been married for years, it is never too late to establish some money rules for your relationship. Below are some money guidelines to help you as a couple.

1. Do not make the mistake of starting your marriage by purchasing everything it took your parents a lifetime to accumulate. Try to plan your lifestyle on one salary.

2. Do not take for granted that you and your spouse think the same about money and how you should spend it. Good names and credit are ruined daily because couples fail to plan their spending, shopping, purchases and paying of bills.

3. Save for the unexpected by having an emergency fund. Set aside savings first from your paycheck. The goal is to save three to six months of wages in case of emergencies, because anything can happen.

4. Plan for your kids and family. Kids get more expensive with age, so plan and determine how many your family can afford.

5. Honor and respect your credit rating. Pay your bills on time to keep the best credit score and interest rates. Better credit means more money saved.

6. Do not be an impulsive buyer. If so, you can kill your chances of enjoying the good life. Avoid door-to-door sales people and shopping on television. Compare products and prices. Do not be penny wise and dollar foolish.

7. Do not sign a contract or agreement without reading it completely. Be sure that all blanks have been filled in and that all verbal agreements have been put in writing.

8. Do not rob yourself of future wealth by securing new high interest loans to pay off old due bills. This method buys you time, but does not pay your bills.

9. Do not purchase a car or anything on an installment plan without looking into the true annual rate of interest, taxes, and maintenance. Shop for your credit as well as your merchandise.

10. Compare the costs of renting versus buying by including all of the costs of home ownership. Besides monthly payments: down payment, taxes, insurance, closing cost, and maintenance.

Extreme Money Saving Ideas

If you've already been on the frugal path for awhile, it's hard to believe that there are ways that you can be even more frugal.

But it's true. Following are some ideas that people have used to save money that are a bit on the crazy side. I don't necessarily recommend them, but they're up for consideration if you are hoping to save even more money.

*Get your furniture for free. You may have to do without for some time, but always try to hold out and get things for free. You can check out Craigslist or your local Freecycle. Or you can simple drive around town on garbage night and see what's available for the taking.

*Teach your cat to use toilet. Pets can be very expensive and one unnecessary expense is kitty litter. With a bit of effort, you can train your cat to use the toilet. Over the lifetime of your cat, this adds up to quite a bit of savings.

*Collect cans and bottles. If you're lucky enough to live in a state that offers a refund for recyclable cans and bottles, collect empties from around town. You never know where people are throwing them out. Check large apartment buildings especially. I once got more than $15 from bottles that someone was throwing out.

*Shower just once a week. Showering uses a lot of water, not to mention soap, shampoo and conditioner. If you shower just once a week, you will save money on these things.

*Sleep with the sun. If you adjust your body to sleep when the sun sets and wake up when it rises, you won't have to pay money for electricity needed to light your home in the evening and nighttime.

Obviously these ideas are quite extreme and they are not recommended for the average frugal person. But they are perfect for those who wish to take things a bit further.

Why Most Americans Are Broke - What Do You Argue For?

This is the land of the free and the home of the brave. Yes. It is. If you look around at all the complaining, whining people, letting you know in the checkout line how tough life is these days, how expensive things are, all those pastries and cookies and salsa chips, and the beer, well it breaks your heart.
And when you see some child accompanying his frazzled mother, crying out and pawing at the candy bars, insistent on having one, while the mother bears with this disrespect, placing her goods on the checkout conveyor with infinite patience, and half the store now, fidgeting while listening to the child's display...waiting for the smack...waiting for the mother to gain control of her child...

Mom isn't free. She's obviously a servant to her child. Still she lets him scream and wail and theatrically grasp at air...only air....pitiful child who can't have what he wants...

Is it any better for her husband? Can she bear another dinnertime episode hearing him complain on an on about his job, complain about his boss, complain about his coworkers, complain about customers? Who does he have a good word for? And is the pay sweet enough that he can bear a lifetime of this, and not, one day standing in front of the mirror, break down because he sees the Free and Brave MAN he could have been, had he not listened to his fears and refused to pursue his CALLING?

Did the prospect of RISK cause Ma to cajole him every time he suggested making a change in his job? Was she afraid of becoming a pauper if she let him chase his dream? Have he and she settled into the work FARCE, making just enough to get by, but not enough to LIVE?
You can't attract what you argue against.

If your life is an argument for poverty, poverty you will get.

Who argues for prosperity? Who sees failure as a 'learning event' and who has the fanatic faith in their heads that what they give away they get to keep? Who believes that what they give away, God will release to them in more and more abundance?

Well, by what principles do they organize their lives? By what eternal LAWS do they live, do they understand their motives and how to discern right and wrong action? What is the religion of a sated and broke people, who can't see the money all around, who can't call it to themselves, who REPEL IT, by making their lives arguments for poverty?

Is it that God it a pauper,,,He is stingy...and money is EVIL?

Is God short of cash? Does He hate money? If He wants you saving whales, does He get mad if you ask for the resources to DO THIS?

Would He trust this Mom in the checkout line with His resources? Would she bury them until He comes back and asks her how she invested them? What INCREASE did she earn for Him by His investment in her?

Turn this around. Write this down.

Would HE trust what YOU would do with His Resources?

Is your life an argument FOR prosperity and against POVERTY?

How can you give away what you don't own?

And if you live like a Rich Woman, a Rich Man, and if you lavish your money on those you feel called to be a blessing to, what are you embracing? Poverty or Plenty?

Ways to Save Money

Are you looking for simple and effective ways to save money? Look no further!
Plan Out Meals
Food can eat away at ones ability to save money, but this does not need to happen. Planning out menus in advance and sticking to them can be one of the most effective ways to save money and also has the advantage of saving time on last minute grocery runs and frantic searches for something to fix for dinner. When planning out meals it is often a good idea to plan the menu for an entire week at one time.
While doing the planning keep in mind what seasonal fruits and vegetables are available and how to incorporate the same food into several meals, for example buying a large bag of potatoes and using them for hash browns one morning, scalloped potatoes that night, and baked potatoes for lunch the next day. The whole family can be involved in this by assigning each family member a night where they get to choose the meal, and if old enough, do the cooking.
Ask About Upcoming Sales
If you find something in a store you really want, then ask the cashier if there is going to be a sale soon. Sometimes they will let you know, but if not you can ask how often they have sales and what they typically involve. Taking into account how badly you want the item, as well as how many of them are available, you can decide to hold out for a sale and check back every few days. An added benefit to doing this is that you can often avoid impulse purchases since once you are at home you may decide you really don't need that item after all.
Buy Presents Throughout The Year
Setting aside a space in a closet for storing presents throughout the year is the first step. Then keep an eye out for sales on items that would be good for gift giving. Since you still want the presents to be quality gifts, you may want to make a list of ideas for the people in your life and only purchase items on this list. Some general ideas are to look for photo frames or albums on sale, where you can insert pictures taken or prints purchased, candles and candle holders, warm fleece blankets, or family board games. Purchasing your items in advance allows you plenty of time to find sales and find the items you want without settling for something else.
Give Yourself A Gift Card
There are many ways to save money, but one of my favorite is to purchase a gift card at the locations where I do my grocery shopping and purchase fuel. I figure out how much I have to spend for the month at these locations and then purchase a gift card for that amount. Now I know that I will not spend too much money for the month on these items as long as I do not spend more than is on the gift card.
Finding ways to save money can be rewarding. Using the above tips will help to increase your savings and decrease your spending without feeling a pinch.

Austin, Texas Insurance Tips

Having to pay multiple Austin insurance companies for varying lines of coverage only consumes time and energy you need for living. It makes better sense to work with a single Austin insurance provider who can handle all of your property and casualty needs. Working with a multi-line agency offers two major advantages. First, it offers you the convenience of dealing with a single source of coverage. Secondly, it offers you possible multiple policy discounts provided your agent represents a company or companies that offer rates because you purchase two or more different types of policies from a single insurance carrier.
There are a number of things to consider in multiple areas of coverage that you can obtain from an Austin insurance agency that takes a multi-line approach to insuring one's entire lifestyle.
For example, home insurance is something every Austinite should invest in. Weather wise, it is one of the best places to live, not only in the state, but in the entire United States as well. But, because of its idyllic conditions, Austin residents are often lulled into a false sense of security about the possibility of natural disaster.
Few, if any, consider any real peril indemnity when qualifying a policy. Austin, Texas can suddenly be struck by tornadoes. The likelihood of a tornado here is equal to the state average, and it is 80% greater than the U.S. average. Austin can also be affected by affected by the occasional occurrence of violent thunderstorms that can strike-and sometimes flood-- the otherwise tranquil Hill Country with little or no warning. It is important to find an agency that can find you the best coverage for such a calamities and pinpoint potential discounts that can be generated by certain home improvements you can make.
If your home happens to lie beneath a flood plain, a service such as Texas Auto Home can help you find the best possible flood coverage for your dwelling in addition to wind/storm coverage.
The magnitude of the above perils exponentially increases for the mobile homeowner who neglects appropriate insurance. Approximately 5,000 mobile homes reside within the city limits of Austin alone. The number is even higher if we include statistics for all of Travis County.
The good news is, mobile home insurance is cheaper than ever before. Addition discounts can be created by taking a series of steps to tie down and better secure a mobile home against regional weather patterns.
Apartment dwellers and owners of condominium owners are taking a costly risk when they choose to forgo the small investment required for quality Austin renters insurance. Nearly 40,000 property-related crimes occurred in 2006, and many of these led to irrecoverable financial losses for those who were struck. Austin insurance renters policies normally cost less than 10% of the total content value covered, so for just a little investment you can protect a lot.
If you live in a condo, be sure to work with a renter's insurance agency that can write policies specifically for condominium renters. These policies extend the basic coverages of HOA and building complex policies and can protect condominium owners as well as tenants.
Businesses of any size in Austin, Texas should insure their vans, trucks, and automobiles through a qualified commercial vehicle insurance agency. The best rates are available through organizations who will take the time to systematically research and qualify a number of advantages for smaller, family-owned businesses,
Some agencies even offer specific lines of commercial coverage for general and artisan contractors.
Austin insurance agencies like TAHI also often offer a variety of special discounts targeting specific ages of drivers who exhibit safe personal driving history, good credit, academic excellence, and other mitigating factors favorable to a better individual rating.
As Austin is a college town, one is able to find in many places discounts for young drivers, sports cars, and seniors.
For Austin residents who like to hit the open road on the weekend, or for any die hard water enthusiasts who love Lake Travis year round, rates are better than ever for motorcycle, ATV, jet ski, and boat insurance for Austin residents.
It makes perfect sense, therefore, to work with an agent who can address all the many aspects of the Austin lifestyle with a wide range of options that specify key elements of dwelling, property, and personal protection.

Tips To Survive College

You're new to the college scene and like anything in life; you have no idea on what's going on. The best way to learn about something is to get the advice from someone that's been there and done that. Once you get that fantastic advice, you then get to understand what college is all about.
The following tips should help you out a lot when it comes to taking classes away from home or close to home. Regardless of where you're going, most colleges are the same. When we say the same, we mean the atmosphere, the style of the classrooms, etc.
Be organized with classes
If you haven't registered yet already, make sure that you don't schedule classes back to back. You'll find that the best time to study for class is between classes. The best thing to do usually is to schedule your classes about a good hour or two hours apart. Having classes too close to each other will make it harder for you to comprehend everything.
Set a schedule
Once you start your classes, you're going to have a set schedule with those classes. Chances are that those classes will never change. Outside of your classroom work, you need to set an established time where you will be studying every day. Treat studying as if it were a class as well. The more studying you're able to do, the better you're going to be in the class.
Use the resources at school
If your school has resources, which they should, you should most definitely take advantage of them. If they offer books, be sure to read them. If they offer free internet services or guest speaking seminars, etc., be sure to take advantage of everything possible. If you do this, you'll be thanking yourself later.
Network, network, and network
Like life in general, the only way you're going to get far in a career is to network with someone. No matter what you do in life, you will find that networking is the best key to anything to become successful. The same goes with networking when you're attending classes. It's always best to find someone in the class and network with them so that you can have a studying partner. The Best Low Cost Health Insurance Tips

When you're shopping around for the best low cost health insurance, you want the lowest cost per year that will fit into your budget of course. It's certainly an eye-opener and choosing just the right health insurance company can be a difficult decision, but they key is to get as informed as you can possibly be.
The textbook definition of health insurance is the coverage of medical claims for an individual, against the medical costs. All types of insurance are always a gamble, that is - you as the insured gambling that you'll take out more than you are paying in and your health insurance company gambling they will pay out less.
Some statistics: the death rate in any given year for a person without health insurance is twenty-five per cent higher than for someone who has it. People with pneumonia who don't have it are less likely to receive X-rays or consultations.
There are many types of plans available today in the US. You can get low cost insurance if you know where and how to find it no matter what your budget.
The fact is that the older you get the more important your policy may become. This isn't to say that you shouldn't be concerned when you're younger. The companies today have to be competitive because they know it's quick and easy for you to compare them with other companies online. One good way to lower your cost is to delete any coverage that you don't need or you'll not likely to need such as maternity coverage.
Buying insurance online is one good way to save yourself some money because the saves money when they don't have to pay an agent a commission- this could amount to as much as 8% to 13% savings. The best way to get free quotes is to go online. Your local on-site agents may only be able to offer what they have in front of them and not be able to offer you what's best for you financially and health-wise. And they can only quote from the one or more companies they represent.
You want to avoid having to face a $100,000 or more open heart surgery without any coverage. One of the most important things to remember is realizing that the main purpose of any policy is to protect you from experiencing a major financial loss, not to protect you from spending small amounts of money on visits to clinics.
Many other countries in the industrialized world insure all of its citizens. And despite those extra hundreds of billions of dollars we spend each year, we have forty-five million people without any insurance.
In case your doctor decides that something is a medical necessity and it's not covered under your current policy, the company may exercise its discretion in paying for it, but don't hold your breath too long.
One nice advantage of buying health insurance online is you can change your coverage, deductibles, or payment options with a couple of clicks of the mouse rather than going through the paperwork delay with a local agent. But, most importantly, you want a company that has an established good track record for paying without fighting you on every little medical detail.
Cheap or lower cost coverage doesn't mean lower quality necessarily, but the price may be more of a factor to some people than the quality of the health plan. For anyone without any pre-existing conditions or other complicating factors, a simple plan with a high deductible may be the best approach. Finding a good low cost policy doesn't simply mean looking for the lowest premium but it means also fully understanding all of the costs that will be involved.
And remember that all states in the US offer no cost or low cost health insurance to uninsured children if you need it. Another good way to find it is to ask your doctor for suggestions. In any event get informed as fast as you can. Get free online insurance quotes and compare, compare, and compare costs and coverage and you'll find the best deal for you.

Time Is Money - Save Yours!

The historical business adage, time is money, still holds incredibly true in business today. Especially in the financial industry, every single ticking market minute counts towards profits or losses for bankers, financial planners, and brokers. Therefore, each minute must be optimized to ensure that the highest levels of productivity and profitability are met.

When the starting bell opens for the stock market, the trading minute-by-minute frenzy begins, and that in itself is a very stressful time period. However, in addition to these pressures, for many of the members of the financial industry, they must handle hundreds of transactions a day and manage relations with dozens of customers. When phone calls start flying in, combined with the ticking pressures of the equities markets, it is critical to have a management tool to organize all communication details. When your clients' monies are at stake, no detail can be overlooked, and contact manager software can help you ensure you meet all of your clients' needs.

Contact manager software is an excellent mechanism that will save you a tremendous amount of time, and thus, money. Instead of having to manage clients' call details on jots in notebooks and ledgers, you can rapidly and instantly record the conversation's details in contact manager software. When the market permits, all of the information you need to access will be readily available at your fingertips. You spend less time managing your communication administration and retrieving details from your memories and notepads, but instead have more time to develop profitable market strategies that will yield returns for both your client and yourself. Buy and sell details, risk tolerances, margins, quantities, and client requests from your phone conversations are easily pulled up and reviewed through a contact manager software.

In addition, if you notice specific changes in the market for a client's portfolio that are beyond their risk parameters, you can utilize contact software to quickly contact them, and all of their pertinent information will be on your screen. Time is absolutely money in the financial industry, and each minute in the ticking market counts for profit or loss. The simple investment into a contact manager software can quickly increase your efficiency, thus saving you time and increasing your profit per hour. You will effectively manage your client relations with contact manager software, thus leaving you with more time ensure that their portfolios and your fees generate lucrative returns.

Simple Ways To Save Money On Designer Wedding Dresses

If you are interested in having a designer wedding dress but do not want to pay an over the top price then here are a few ideas for you.

Firstly, the number one way to save money on a gown is to pick one that is simple in design. Choose a basic and slim silhouette over something that is overtly extravagant. In general the bigger the dress and consequently the more material that is used to make it, the more it will cost. A good tip would be to opt for a sheath or mermaid cut as opposed to a ball gown style.

Another way to cut the cost of a gown is to choose one with very few embellishments. Ultimately these trimmings will increase the cost and are not always worth it. Selecting something with a minimalist and down-to-earth feel will save you money. If you really must have added extras then make sure that they are in a place where people will see them. Lace and beading located on the bodice will be much more obvious and as a consequence worth more for your money than if it is located on the hemline or train.

Another great tip is to pick a dress that fits you the best. While this may sound obvious a lot of brides fall in love with an item that does not quite fit and then find that they have to pay a lot for alterations to be made. Avoid this temptation and only buy something that is appropriate for your body.

By far one of the best times to go shopping is when a sample sale is going on. These events tend to be common both during winter and summer when a lot of bridal boutiques will be trying to get rid of their excess inventory from the previous season. You will find that there are large reductions offered on gowns on sale at these events. However, you should remember that these items will have been lying around the store for some time and will more than likely have been tried on by a large number of brides before they go on sale. Because of this you will need to add the cost of dry-cleaning and potential restoration work to the price that is offered. In addition to this you may also need to pay for a few alterations.

Saving Money on a Laptop Purchase

Used laptops are for more abundant now than they were even a couple of years ago. Sales have surged. The main reason for this is because laptops are cheaper than ever before and loaded with features. I read just the other day that laptop computer sales have exceeded desktop computer sales.

What happens a lot of the time is people trade in their perfectly good laptop for the latest and greatest. That's good news for anybody that needs a cheap used laptop. For the average user who checks email, surfs the net, and uses Microsoft Office a used laptop is perfect for their needs.

One method I have used in the past to obtain a used laptop is to keep a sharp lookout for the brand and model I want on Ebay. A lot of people will not buy used laptops because they afraid they will get a lemon. A way to reduce the chances of that on Ebay is to check the seller's feedback. If a seller on Ebay has the one that meets your needs make sure their feedback is in the 98%+ range or above. Don't be afraid to ask the seller questions either. You can get a pretty good idea of what type a person you are dealing with by asking questions that you need to know the answer to. Just click on the Ask the Seller a Question at the upper right hand corner of the auction page. If the seller is prompt and courteous with an answer that's a good indicator. Sellers who are rude and late with answers to your questions are best avoided. Ask the seller why they are selling the laptop and if they have had any problems with it. Make sure you are getting the operating system software and the specific drivers for it. The drivers are not a big deal because you can usually download them off of the manufacturer's site. If you own a copy of Windows XP, it should work on newer used machines. Check specifications at the manufacturer's website to be certain.

So, you have found a used laptop and the seller checks out on feedback and email. The next step is to decide how much money you can spend. Set a dollar limit and stick to it. Only buy if it is a bargain. The fact is that most sellers on Ebay do not offer a warranty on what they sell. There are exceptions, and if you can find a seller with a warranty on what you want so much the better.

Please visit the Cheap Laptop Computers site for more articles and information on buying cheap and discounted computer laptops.

5 Ways To Save More Money Each Month

Here are 5 specific ways to save money each month. Below we provide a few suggestions on ways that the average US household could save more money each month. Once you have determined a few realistic ways (which these are) to decrease your spending each month; you will should set a savings goal. This step is essential to building your personal wealth.

We hope that you will review each one carefully and honestly as it could mean the difference between no retirement, and a nice one.

The numbers below are estimates of the monthly savings that the average US Household could save by implementing some of the suggestions below. So, if you make more than the average US household, you could actually be saving MORE than the estimates below. If you make less than the average US household in income, your savings may be less. The average US Household income for 2006 was $48,201.

So, here are the 5 ways to increase your savings each month:

1). Eat out one less time each month (estimated savings - $35/month).

According to a 2005 report by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average US Household spends 5.5% of their money on eating out at restaurants (not groceries). Since the average US household income is $48,201 (before taxes), we estimate that the average household spends nearly $176 each month on eating out! Since everything spent on eating out is discretionary, (meaning it's not necessary spending); this could potentially be a huge area for savings! We don't expect you to never eat out again; however, if you were able to save $176 a month, that's $615,114 in 30 years! We encourage you to be ambitious in this area; however, if you can start with just one less outing each month...that's an extra $35 a month (on average).

2). Bring your lunch to work or school (estimated savings - $20 per month).

It's difficult to determine how much the average US household spends each month on lunches at school or work. However, if you do eat out for lunch during the week, consider the possibilities for savings. At $5 per lunch, that's $25 per week, or $100 per month. If you have children going to school and pay for their lunch; consider making them a homemade lunch. This could certainly be as much as $5 - $10 per week in savings or $20 - $40 each month! Only you will be able to determine how much you can save in your particular situation. Using the numbers listed above, we estimate that the average household will be able to save between $20 - $140 each month by being more frugal during lunch time.

3). Create a shopping list and stick to it when you get groceries, and use coupons (estimated savings - $40 per month).

According to the same US Bureau of Labor Statistics study mentioned above, it is estimated that the average US household spends 7.5% of their after tax money on groceries. Now of course food IS a necessity of life; however, there are ways to be more frugal without missing a meal. By simply being more conscious of what you are spending at the grocery store, you may be able to save a decent amount. The age-old "shopping list" is still a great suggestion. By sticking to your list, you will have less "impulsive" buys and will be able to shop around for deals on the items that you need. In addition, USE COUPONS...its free money! In fact, if you have a Wal-mart nearby, you can price match any competitors coupons. For example, if Albertsons is selling milk for $1.99; simply, go to Wal-mart, pick up the milk, and tell the cashier to "price match" for $1.99...and that's it. This is one of Wal-mart's business strategies, so they encourage you to do this. Whether or not you use Wal-mart isn't the point. Find a way to save on your groceries; plan before you go, stick to your list, and use coupons. The average household that was not doing this already should be able to save about $40 per month by implementing these strategies.

4). Use generic brands.

There is no explanation needed here; just do it! Nobody will know if you bought the cheap Wal-mart milk or the fancy brand! It all comes from the same cow anyway. Think of areas to go generic, you will be surprised how much you could save.

5). Lower your utility bills (estimated savings - $20 per month)

Ask your local utility company how you can lower your energy bills. They will have lots of suggestions such as weatherproofing your home and using window coverings. In addition, if you for every 1 degree you turn down your heat, you will save about 3% on your heating bill each month. (Also, consider using less A/C during the summer months). You can also turn down the temperature on your water heater to 115-120 degrees without any noticeable difference. This will save money as your water heater will use less energy. For the conscious utility user, these steps could easily translate into savings of $20 per month.

Other suggestions:

Don't buy on impulse. If you see something you want; shop around, look online, or wait until its on sale.

Lower your phone bill. You can switch carriers, use less text-messaging or other phone features. Use your debit card instead of your credit card.

Monitor your checking account so you don't bounce checks or pay extra fees. Use only the ATMs of your bank or credit union.

There are literally hundreds of other ways to save money. These 5 simple ways could save you an extra $115 per month. And that is not even scratching the surface!

Why Would You Buy New Games?

In the past 10 years or so, gaming has become one of the most popular pastimes. Not only is it enjoyed by those who are young, it is also enjoyed by those who are young at heart and have grown-up in an age where video games were simply a part of life. At one time, video arcades dotted the landscape and were always full of people feeding the machines one quarter at a time.
Those days have really passed, however, because of the invention of home game systems and what they offer to individuals that enjoy this kind of pastime. With people making games possible such as Nintendo, Playstation and Xbox available to the masses.

One of the hardest parts about owning one of these game systems is that there are so many different games to choose from. There are really only a handful of the actual systems themselves that you can own. Many serious gamers actually have several of these game systems. The games, however, that are played on the individual game systems can get quite expensive. That is why it is important for you to find a source that will help you to be fully supplied with all the games that you want, without spending an arm and a leg. One of the best ways to do this, is by buying your games used on the Internet at an auction site, such as eBay.

Many people that purchase video games play them until they're basically beaten. At that particular time, the games are really set off to the side in order to make time to play new games. These gamers have gotten smart and have begun to sell the games that they have already used on eBay and other auction sites. Some people even purchase these games when they first come out, play them for a week or two and then sell them quickly on eBay. This really works well for them, as they are able to play these games on their Nintendo, Playstation or Xbox and then use the profits that they get from selling them to purchase a new game. It also works well for you as you are typically able to get these video games, which play just as good as brand-new games, at a discount price.

One of the most difficult parts about purchasing used video games is waiting. Many of us tend to enjoy playing the games immediately, once we get the idea in our mind. If you have a little bit of patience, however, you can purchase your video games used and save yourself a lot of money.

Want To Remodel Your Kitchen Plus Save Time And Money?

Are you a homeowner? If so, there is a good chance that you may be a little tight on cash. As nice as it is to own a home, it is expensive to. Despite being low on financial resources, you may still want to remodel your home, particularly your kitchen.

Although you might not think that it is possible, there are a number of different ways that you can go about changing your kitchen around without having to spend more money than you need to.

Perhaps, the most obvious way to save money, when it comes to remodeling your kitchen, is deciding whether or not your kitchen really needs to be remodeled. As a homeowner, you have every right to remodel your kitchen, if you wish to do so; however, if money is tight it may be a good idea to rethink your decision, at least until your financial outlook improves. Although it may be a good idea to hold off on the kitchen remodeling, you may not necessarily want to. As previously mentioned, there a number of relatively low-cost ways that you could go about remodeling your kitchen.

One of the best ways to go about remodeling your kitchen without going broke is by taking it one step at a time. Although your goal may be to remodel your whole kitchen, inside and out, it can be costly do it all at the same time. By doing your remodeling in steps, it may make it easier for you to afford the overall cost of a kitchen remodeling project.

For instance, if you would like to replace your kitchen cabinets, it may be a good idea to start there first. After your kitchen cabinets have been replaced and you have additional money for remodeling, you may want to move onto the next remodeling project, say changing the light fixtures in your kitchen. Taking one step at a time may not only make it easier for you to afford the cost of remodeling, but it may also help to make sure that you are choosing the right materials, supplies, and designs.

Where you buy your supplies and materials from may also have an impact on how much a kitchen remodeling project costs. Whether you decide to do all of your remodeling at once or do it a little bit at a time, you will want to keep an eye on where you are buying your materials from.

If you are looking to save the most money, you may want to think about shopping at one of your local home improvement stores. Most home improvement stores, especially those that operate on a national level, carry everything that you need to undergo a kitchen remodeling project. In addition to the tools needed, you may also be able to find the supplies or materials that you need, such as kitchen sinks, kitchen sink pipes, kitchen floor tiles, as well as kitchen light fixtures.

You can also save money, when remodeling your kitchen, by doing all of the work yourself. It may be easier to use a professional contactor, but it is also more expensive. Even if you are unfamiliar with the ins and outs of kitchen remodeling, you may be able to learn. There are a number of resources guides that can be found online, in your local book stores, or in your local library.

Depending on where you live, you may also be able to attend a kitchen remodeling class, course, or seminar. These resources, not matter what they are, may make it easier for you to remodel your kitchen yourself. In fact, most of the time, all you need is a plan and a set of directions to follow and you should be good to go.

Despite all of the above mentioned tips, you may still find it difficult to remodel your kitchen, money wise. If this is the case, you may want to place more of a focus on redecorating. Simply by changing your kitchen curtains, replacing some of your kitchen appliances, or even by changing your kitchen towel theme, you could get the new kitchen feel that you were looking for. While it might not be exactly what you had hoped for, it is an alterative that may just give you what you need.

How To Save Money On Professional Teeth Whitening

Have you been considering getting your teeth professionally whitened? This is become more and more common recently with major advances being done in the area of teeth whitening by dentists.
Did you know that you can have your teeth whitened at home also? You can buy a home a teeth whitening kit at most any major department store such as Wal-Mart, K-mart, etc. many people want to know which works better, the home teeth whitening kit or having your teeth whitened at the dentist?
I can tell you right now that the general consensus is that the dentist wins hands down. Have you ever heard the old saying, "you get what you pay for"? Well, that's exactly right. There's nothing wrong with a home teeth whitening kits, they just don't work as well as having your teeth done by a professional.
One way that you might be able save a few dollars by getting professional teeth whitening done is by becoming a member of a dental discount plan. Dental discount plans, also known as discount dental plans, or simply a savings plan that enables you to save 10 to 60% off of everyday dental procedures by being a part of their network. Not all plans cover cosmetic dentistry, such as teeth whitening, however, those that do can save you a substantial amount of money, normally much more than what you would pay for the plan on an annual basis.
The cost of these plans starts at about $80 annually for an individual and around $150 annually for entire family. These costs cover most standard dental procedures and will allow you and your family to save on every visit that you have two the dentist, both minor and major procedures, for the next entire year. If you've been considering getting your teeth professionally whitened, or having any other dental procedure done in the near future, I highly recommend that you get more information about dental discount plans.

Theme Sites With eBay Listings Save Time And Money

If you have searched for something to buy online, chances are you have come across a “niche site” streaming listings from eBay. These sites can help you find what you are looking for and all while removing the hassle of searching eBay and other sites yourself.
A few years back, eBay launched a program where webmasters could put eBay listings directly on their web site. This spawned a new generation of so-called “niche” web sites, where a webmaster would create a web site themed around a certain product. The product listings on eBay are streamed directly to the web site. Even categories and subcategories are transferred to the web site, making it easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. If the webmaster did a good job designing the web site, then finding what you are looking for is much easier than going directly to eBay doing a search for what you want.
For example, let us take a look at the web site www.transformersnation.com. The web site is themed around the “Transformers” niche. You can see in the left sidebar all the categories for the different Transformers products. Searching for products that can be found in multiple categories spread across eBay can be a pain. The niche site transformersnation.com relieves this pain as every category that Transformers products fall in are right there on the side of the page.
The competition on eBay tends to keep prices low compared to other web sites selling their product directly from their stock. This adds even more value for the customer when using a niche site with eBay listings as you will be saving time and money. This makes the experience of using one of these niche web sites second to none.
As you can see, niche sites with eBay listings can be very helpful to anyone performing a search looking to buy something online.

Tips on How to Teach Your Kids to Save Money

A lot of teens nowadays do not understand the value of earning and spending money. They were not oriented that investing is necessary even if they are still students. As parents, you play a crucial role in this area.
You should be able to teach your kids on how to save money. They should be able to understand the concept of money and investment as early as childhood. This will prepare them to learn money management, as they grow old.
Here are some tips on how you can teach your children how to save money:
1. Your children should be educated of the meaning of money. Once your children have learned how to count, that is the perfect time for you teach them the real meaning of money. You should be consistent and explain to them in simple ways and do this frequently so that they may be able to remember what you taught them.
2. Always explain to them the value of saving money. Make them understand its importance and how it will impact their life. It is important that you entertain questions from them about money and you should be able to answer them right away.
3. When giving them their allowances. You need to give them their allowances in denominations. Then you can encourage them that they should keep a certain bill for the future. You can motivate them to do this by telling them that the money can be saved and they can buy new pair of shoes or the toys they want once they are able to save.
4. You can also teach them to work for money. You can start this at your own home. You can pay them fifty cents to one dollar every time they clean their rooms, do the dishes or feed their pets. This concept of earning little money will make them think that money is something they have worked for and should be spent wisely.
5. You can teach them to save money by giving them piggy banks where they can put coins and wait until they get full. You can also open bank accounts for them and let them deposit money from their allowance. You should always show them how much they have earned to keep them motivated.
Money and saving is not something that is learned by children in one sitting. You should be patient in teaching them and relating the value of money in all of their activities. Children will learn this easily if you are patient and consistent in guiding them and encouraging them in this endeavor.
